About Our Founder
Emilio Salgado
Hi, I’m Emilio Salgado, the founder of Finance Forward. I’m a 16-year-old junior at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, CA. I’m really passionate about financial literacy and helping others navigate the world of finance.

I come from a Mexican family, and am proud to speak fluent Spanish, which helps me connect with people from my background. My journey into the world of finance started when I was just 13 years old. My parents introduced me to investing and finances, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Over the years, I've actively managed and grown my investment portfolio, gaining insights and learning valuable lessons along the way.

Growing up, I noticed that while schools teach us important subjects, they often overlook essential life skills like managing your finances and making smart money decisions. That’s why I took an investment course at UCLA to dive deeper into the subject. It opened my eyes to the broader financial landscape and reinforced my commitment to financial education. This experience inspired me to start Finance Forward.

I created Finance Forward to share what I’ve learned and help young people, especially those in underserved communities, gain the financial knowledge they need to achieve their dreams. I firmly believe in the power of education and that everyone, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to achieve financial stability and independence. Everyone deserves the opportunity to build wealth and secure a better future for themselves, and I’m excited to be a part of this movement towards financial empowerment.

Thanks for joining me and Finance Forward on this journey. Let's work together to build a future where everyone has the financial tools to succeed.
